LikeHome is a start-up project that aims to help people find furniture and decor items that fit their room layouts, favorite styles, and budget. I led the creation of the initial conceptual prototype to illustrate the founding team’s vision and seek funding.

Initial prototype

I collaborated with LikeHome's founding team members to articulate the product's initial vision and identify the story the prototype would tell investors. The first version of the product's vision relied on users' ability to scan their rooms using LIDAR technology.

The app would help them identify their favorite styles and suggest furniture from actual stores and layout ideas. From a design standpoint, the main challenge for this version was to allow users to preview and manipulate their items in the context of their room.

Second iteration

LikeHome’s team later discovered limitations with Lidar technology which challenged the initial product vision. LikeHome’s new vision was to allow users to quickly and easily review numerous style options in order to identify their style preferences. The main challenge of this version was to create a flow that encouraged users to review enough options so that the application would be able to make good suggestions, without causing users to feel bored or lose motivation.
